We have all had the experience at some stage of our lives… when that well meaning person invades your personal space and unfortunately has a breath like rotten cauliflower. Its very off-putting and embarrassing for both parties and so easily avoidable. Why don’t they just brush their teeth like the rest of us you ask? The answer is they probably did that day, however like a lot of people, their current dental routine is not addressing the problems that cause bad breath, and accordingly it develops day by day.

Our aim in this report is to provide proven techniques that will help you maintain great hygiene. Tips that you can implement immediately and at no cost. These techniques will give you more confidence and will save you many hundreds of dollars over the years to come. I have personally tested all of the recommendations and use them every single day. The following information is based on my experiences and learnings over a 6 year period. These insider secrets have worked extremely well for me and my family.

Ask my 80 year old father who changed from toothpaste to PREFRESH tooth powder around 3 years ago and now gets compliments on the condition of his teeth and lack of plaque at his annual check up with the dentist.  Speaking of plaque…

The three most common mistakes when brushing your teeth………..

No 1.

Not spending enough time brushing the teeth. A snapshot of toothbrush users in 2005 revealed the average time spent cleaning the fangs was only 15 seconds. 15 seconds will do very little to clean efficiently and a minimum of 3 minutes was recommended. It costs no more to clean your teeth thoroughly and the results will amaze you and save you mon ey at the dentist. It is also critical to ensure you clean thoroughly the back of your teeth as this is the main area where plaque forms. Click here to check out our toothbrushes

No 2.

The second mistake most folk make is either not cleaning between the teeth at all or using dental floss instead of dental ribbon to clean between the teeth. It is important to “ribbon” the teeth to remove debris that can rot and cause decay and odour. Dental ribbon is wider and picks up more debris upon contact which in turn reduces mouth odour. Follow this with our Prefresh mouth wash to ensure all the bacteria is eliminated. Be careful not to damage to the skin on the gums when flossing.

No 3.

Not brushing the tongue after cleaning the teeth. It is critical to give the tongue a decent going over with your tooth brush bristles which in turn will remove built up bacteria and debris. The tongue is full of “caves and caverns”  a perfect breeding ground for non oxygen loving bacteria that create bad breath (More on this further on in this report)

What does toothpaste and hair shampoo have in common?

In my research on plaque it soon became apparent that some supermarket tooth paste will always struggle to remove or prevent plaque. Why?

Because toothpaste is made up of detergent with  flavouring, some sodium, chemical thickeners and other assorted items. Next time you get the tube out have a look at the ingredients. You will notice in most cases an ingredient called Laurel Sulphate which is a detergent, and has caused much debate over the year as to the long term effects on humans. it is also responsible for causing mouth ulcers and used in most hair shampoos.

Prefresh Tooth Cleaner by the way is 100% natural

To understand how an effective mouth cleaner should work we need to understand first of all what actually causes gum and mouth disease.

All dental disease is pathogenic i.e. caused by too much bacteria. Teeth decay and gum issues do not relate directly to eating sugary foods as we have been led to believe over the years, although sugar does have a part to play in dental disease.

The bacteria feed on food particles that remain trapped between and around our teeth after eating, and these bacteria then turn the sugar present in the food particles into acid. They also excrete their own waste by-products called dextrans that combine with other debris in the mouth to form a sticky film known as plaque. The two products combined form a deadly team. Acid gets stuck on the teeth between the plaque and  potential decay commences. The key here are the acids.

If you are a scientific person I have a question for you.

Q. Can a diluted detergent neutralize acid?

A. No because detergents are PH neutral once diluted. If a detergent cannot neutralize acids then how can a supermarket toothpaste do the same. Are you getting the picture?

Toothpaste works like this. It contains detergent which foam upon agitation to clean the teeth. The foaming comes from a detergent chemical called Laurel Sulphate which is a nasty little beast and responsible according to scientific studies, for increased mouth ulcers. I personally suffered from mouth ulcers for a considerable period of my life and I am please to say now I have not had a mouth ulcer for 5-6 years with my system

So how do I get rid of plaque?

As mentioned, acid and bacteria play a very important role in forming plaque. What I discovered and share with you today is the only effective method that I have found, of preventing plaque from forming.

I have used this system for 6 years and have very little or no plaque on my teeth when I go for my dentist check up.

So what is the secret?

To prevent plaque forming you need a tooth cleaner that is high in alkaline and slightly abrasive and most of all 100% natural

Did you know that your teeth are the most resilient part of your body. They are made of incredibly strong material and a slightly abrasive cleaner can not do any harm. In fact it work wonders. High alkaline means you spend less time cleaning your teeth because the tooth powder does some of the work for you

You may notice some new toothpastes coming out with abrasive materials in them.  Good on them I say.

How do alkaline based teeth cleaners work?

Well put simply the alkaline neutralizes the acids, destroys bacteria and provides an excellent natural cleaner to remove food residues and sugars that come from proteins and starches found in most foods. The gentle abrasive properties are very effective at removing any existing plaque which is essential to good hygiene and a clear breath.

If you use this system daily it is very difficult for plaque to form, which means less bacteria, which means less acid which means a much fresher feeling and a healthier mouth with no decay.

And as a side benefit your teeth will whiten and, hey presto your breath will improve.

How to get rid of Morning Breath permanently.

Morning breath affects us all at some point. Why is it that the breath develops overnight and can be sharp and nasty when we wake up. There are many reasons for this common problem and generally, morning breath is caused by a lack of moisture in the mouth. This can be caused by snoring, sleeping with the mouth open, not enough water in our diet, too much coffee, or very dry air caused by air conditioning. A dry mouth allows anaerobic  bacteria to multiply and over time the bacteria will discharge what is known as Volatile Sulphur Compounds (VSC’s) which will produce the odour in the morning.

Using PREFRESH Mouthwash regime before going to bed will rid you of morning breath and here are some additional tips to help you.

Do not eat cheese in the evening. Cheese contains all the ingredients for bad breath, ie bacteria, proteins and dairy products.

Do not over indulge in coffee during the day. Coffee is high in acid and acid plays a crucial part in contributing to bad breath. You may notice a coffee breath on people from time to time. It is caused by the acid in the coffee

When brushing your teeth before retiring, also brush your tongue back and forward throughly and then rinse with fresh water. Repeat this process twice. This will remove most of the bacteria and give you a better breath in the morning. Do this before taking PREFRESH Mouthwash.

Always floss at every brushing using dental ribbon instead of floss as it is wider, and can rid the mouth of more waste then dental floss. (Click here to buy now)

Now here is a little secret that is so obvious and so easy yet not many people know about it or actually do it. Its a trick I learnt from my grandmother and it works really well. It will not remove odour from the mouth like PREFRESH mouthwash but it will remove the bacteria enough to give you a clearer breath in the morning.

Solution salty water. After brushing your teeth use salty water to rinse with, then rinse with fresh water. Its a killer tip and works reasonably effectively. Alternatively and much more effective use PREFRESH Mouthwash which will kill bacteria for up to 8 hours ensuring you can wake with fresh breath.

Why do people who use supermarket mouthwash run the highest risk of having bad breath?

Most supermarket mouthwashes contain alcohol which is used to kill the anaerobic  bacteria . Alcohol will kill bacteria however alcohol will also dry the  mouth substantially meaning the anaerobic  bacteria (who love a dry mouth) will start to emerge, reproduce and then thrive. You see bacteria exude very nasty smelling chemicals known as VSC (Volatile Sulphur Compounds). The bacteria love our tongues as there is no oxygen in the many crevices and little caves that exist there. They can reproduce and live happily ever after. It’s the bacteria residues in the tongue that put out the foul odour commonly referred to as bad breath. To get rid of these bacteria a product is required in the form of a mouthwash that does not contain alcohol or toxic chemicals.

Introducing PREFRESH Mouthwash. A 100% guaranteed product designed to eliminate bacteria and get rid of bad breath instantly and effectively. It does not dry the mouth out like other mouthwashes, in fact it increases the saliva flow and will give you fresh breath for up to 8 hours. Anaerobic  bacteria cannot survive in oxygen whch is found naturally in your saliva hence the reason a moist mouth is the best natural means of tackling bad breath. The drier your mouth the more bacteria with the resulting bad breath.

How to rid yourself of mouth ulcers once and for all

Quote from Wikipedia

“Chemical injuries”

Chemicals such as Aspirin or alcohol that are held or that come in contact with the oral mucosa may cause tissues to become necrotic and slough off creating an ulcerated surface. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), one of the main ingredients in most toothpastes, has been implicated in increased incidence of oral ulcers.

Viral, fungal and bacterial processes can lead to oral ulceration”

As described above Toothpaste can be the main cause of ulcers due to the chemicals used in them or as mentioned bacteria is also responsible

Using a high alkaline tooth cleaner and our specially formulated mouthwash destroys bacteria and will guarantee you never get ulcers again.

I used to get an ulcer once every 3-4 months. I have not had any ulcers now for 5 years. It really works. It is amazing what cleaning your mouth without a detergent and other chemicals can do.

What foods to avoid and what foods are good for bad breath?

Food has an amazing effect on the breath, mainly due to the residues food in the food  and  the way these residues react with our natural PH levels in the mouth and stomach, for example supermarket orange juice on an empty stomach first thing in the morning tends to produce a very sour breath due to the high acid contained in the juice, where as wholemeal bread first thing in the morning  (good bakers bread) neutralises bad breath due to the natural enzymes found in the yeast and the mild acid. There are some foods to avoid any time of the day and these are listed below .

Are we saying don’t eat these foods? Well I think it may be difficult to get everyone to stop drinking and eating pies however knowing what foods affect the breath can help you plan and avoid the breath building as the day progresses.

Here are the top 5 to avoid for a healthy breath

Greasy high fat foods such as pizzas, pies,
High acid foods such as coffee, ice cream,
Alcohol (high in acid and also sugar)
Food containing high levels of bacteria and proteins such as cheese
Supermarket fruit juices

Breath friendly food

High alkaline is the secret here, very similar to our tooth powder. Alkaline neutralises acid and keeps our body PH stable

Asparagus, Onions, Vegetable Juices, Parsley, Raw Spinach, Broccoli, Garlic, Barley Grass, Lemons, Watermelon, Limes, Grapefruit, Mangoes, Papayas,  Squash, Green Beans, Beets, Celery, Lettuce, Zucchini, Sweet Potato, Carob, Dates, Figs, Melons, Grapes, Papaya, Kiwifruit, Berries, Apples, Pears, Raisins, Carrots, Tomatoes, Fresh Corn, Mushrooms, Cabbage, Peas, Cauliflower, Turnip, Beetroot, Potato Skins, Olives, Soybeans, Tofu

Carrots and potatoes aid saliva production which is a natural bad breath eliminator.

What the movie stars do to whiten their teeth naturally

During film set shots the stars  enjoy having a coffee. Unfortunately coffee is very bad for staining the teeth and can dull the teeth considerably. So what do they turn to to get rid of the coffee residues. They use good old table salt.

Salt or Sodium Chloride (as it is commonly known) contains bleaching properties that work very quickly. It is not uncommon to see the stars rubbing their teeth with salt after the coffee break and before filming. There you go you heard it here first
